This competition is open for musicians of any nationality born on or after November 2, 2003 and on or before November 1, 2016.

Meet the Praelusio Outstanding Performance Award and First Prize Winners

Outstanding Performance Award Winners will be awarded to also perform at the New York International Artists Winners’ Showcase (18 – 35 years old) at Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall on Friday, July 8, 2022.

Praelusio Competition

Baroque to Modern 2025

The Praelusio Competition “Baroque to Modern” 2025 is now accepting applications for contestants 5 to 17 years old. This competition is open for musicians of any nationality born on or after June 2, 2007 and on or before June 1, 2020. Performances will be judged via online format (Youtube or Vimeo link). Please see below for more information.

  • Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello

  • Woodwinds: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet
